Unconditional Cash Transfer Project

Young South Africans face significant barriers to entering the labour market. Over two years, PMBEJD and Misereor piloted unconditional cash transfers (R2,000/month) with 100 TVET graduates around Pietermaritzburg. By project end, 36 participants secured employment and 51 started income-generating activities. This launch presents key findings and recommendations.
